Can a cervical examination show you have had recent sexual activity?

Hi all . i have problems with break through bleeding on my contraceptive pill . so i have seen my doctor and she wants to do a cervical examination before changing my contraceptive pills ... i have a partner but he has had a vasectomy so the use of contraceptives is purely to get control of my periods... we had intercourse yesterday and my doctor has booked my examination for tomorrow , will she be able to see we have had recent sexual activity and detect semen?
